Speaking to new prospects.

We should know our catalog inside and out. we also need to be careful with what we say to new students as they will turn everything around to their benefit.

Harry,
They do consider us as experts thus the reason for knowledge, honesty and integrity.

Patty Aronoff

Students think we are the experts since this is our job, that's why it's very important to know the catalog contents and don't worry if you make mistakes on quoting the catalog, but always make sure you let the student know that you will try your best since catalogs change quite frequently and always refer to the "revised catalog date" before quoting and handing them to students.

Monique ,

Agreed! They are counting on us.

Megan ,
We are the respected provider of information. We owe it to everyone to be informed and provide the information to others.

We should know everything in the school catalog. Product knowledge is key when speaking to new prospects. They are counting on us to provide them with accurate information to help them make an informed decision.

I believe that our knowledge of the information in the institution catalog is vital. Without being well-informed about product knowledge, policies and procedures, enrollment requirements etc., it would not be possible to give prospective students solid and complete information. The long- term effects for the student of not having all information up front could be very positive or very negative if presented incorrectly. It would be a disservice to students to not know your catalog inside and out.

I agree that we need to know the catalog inside and out. We cannot mislead a prospective student at any time. We must be knowledgeable and we must earn the trust of the prospective student.

MARTHA,
I am a firm believer that everyone at the school should know the catalog inside and out. It's part of our contract with the students, our policies and procedures.
