Yes I agree. Graduation ceremonies are important to help emphasize the importance of one's achievements and that the educational institution is proud of this achievement so much that they hold a celebration in honor of this important moment.
I believe they should all have a ceremony of some dimention. Having the drive to finish school when times get tough, life gets tough and money gets tough deserves attention and recognition. In real life of being employed, those companies that stroke their employees with recognition have more employee loyalty..
Being new to this school, I look forward to my first graduation ceremony here. At other schools it has always been so important to my students and what they are working for.
