Advertising your school
To me posting flyers about your school does not seem professional.
Andrea,
Marketing strategies will be different for every school in every area. It is important to see if our marketing strategies are working and bringing us the students we seek.

I agree flyers are not the way to go for us but they might be for another institution. We use TV, local newspapers and are looking into advertizing on our local public bus system. We are on one of the buslines that the students use so we feel it might just reach more students
Marcos,
Advertising success will vary from location to location. It is finding the right mix for your school.

I concur with you in this opinion. A more effective way to advertising are Billboards, TV Commercials, and Radio Commercials.
Erica,
This will vary from area to area. Sometimes flyers are the best advertisement and sometimes they're the worst. Finding the right strategy for your area takes research.

Naji,
Finding the right marketing strategy for your target market is very important. Advertising is very costly and you want to make sure that you're getting the most out of the money spent for advertising.

I would say that it depends on location and delivery. If your flyer is professionally designed and displayed in appropriate locations it could be very effective, especially if they are available for the prospective student to take with them.
When I advertise about my school, I want to make sure to target the right audience. The license number for the institution is printed on: the flyers, business cards and website.
Jason,
That is certainly a local decision at your school. I know some schools require that all posters be framed. Posters that remain unattended to can become very unprofessional looking.
