I find it very helpful to introduce a prospective student to their instructors while out on tour. It's making that early connection that is reinforced by meeting them again at orientation and then again on the first class that brings familiarity.

I agree and would add that having one or two details of background information and points of interests that speak to the items important to the prospective student is advantageous.
