Meetings
What meetings do you attend to learn more about your job, admissions policies, regulatory requirements, and your institution?
With regular meetings you have an opportunity to know more information about a student if 1 instructor is with them daily

Guess speakers are an excellent connection to our community at large. This connection needs to remain strong in any institution as they are the employers of our students.

Larry ,
We do that as well! We call it a new student review meeting. The primarily we are doing the same function is what you address. It's an excellent opportunity to bring the school together and look at perspective students.

Standups are a common meeting type in admissions. Gives us an opportunity to just quickly come together and discuss where we're at and answer any questions others may have.

Nancy,
We should always be students first in student centered. All the meetings are an important part of our life and then missions, the student always should come first

Sheila,
Meetings are an excellent opportunity to provide training and goalsetting. It's also an opportunity to share knowledge from peers in different situations that arise during interviews.
Patty Aronoff
Angie,
I agree! We need to have these opportunities to look to see where we've been and where we're going and what strategies we need to address in order to achieve our goals.

Jesse,
Show meetings are a very important part of admissions. It's one thing to have them sign the enrollment agreement but it is critical that they show up and attend school.

Lori ,
Weekly meetings are part of our every day life in admissions. We must come together as a team even though we have individual efforts. After all the success of admissions, is the success of the school.

Our campus has weekly Department meeting, with an opportunity to hear from each Department Head, on what is new and exciting in their Department. I also, keep in touch with individual departments for any quest speakers who are scheduled through the quarters.
I have attended a "Scrub" meeting since I have started working. Which was a meting with the president, the director of admissions and all of the admissions staff. I was there only as an observer. They printed a list of names of prospective students that had requested or came in for an interview but not enrolled. As a new institution there were many people that seemed to have gotten lost over a period of time. I did realize that this is an important meeting to have for following up with prospective students and keeping the enrollment process flowing
We attend daily stand up meetings to discuss current procedures and policies in addition to students going through enrollment processes. We have weekly trainings for best practices. We have monthly trainings with other departments to discuss market trends and product knowledge.
There are not many meetings I don't attend unless I have something important going on, like helping a student. It is always important for employees to get together and share information and ideas.
Weekly team meetings, keeping update with any changes or new training.
The meetings I attend are monthly and really help to determine a clear track of where we are going as an institution. We go over policies, rules and regulations that otherwise would have been forgotten and keep our minds fresh with how the institution should run and cater to employees and students.
We have weekly meetings, one of importance is the show meeting.
Ronald,
For the contact of leads it's a hit or miss proposition. Some say not now can come back later and be a solid lead. Others who become labeled as do not call are lost forever.
