They make me be a better admission representative by given me all the necessary keys to provide the best guidance to prospective students, and also, they provide the institution all regulations to give an excellent and honest service to the applicants.
For an institution that conducting a successful job is important to perform the work in accordance with Federal Regulations and do work with honesty, integrity and ethics.
I believe it helps regulate how we interact with students by being ethical and knowing exactly what are the rules and expectations.
These requirements affect me positively, this way I can work objectively, being updated with all regulations and modifications they may have. Also, I can offer the student an efficient help with an effective attittude.
The CIE gives structure, guidelines to adhere to. One of its goals is to protect the individual from being mislead. We, as advisors, need to know what is right, what information can be given or not. I feel that, across the board, all advisors are just better off, in knowing , therefore avoiding harm.
These requirements are just as the name states. They are not suggestions, but as the name implies...requirements. They must be followed to ensure the students are getting all that is required by law. They were put in place to ensure the student has a positive experience.

CIE's main role is to protect the consumer these are what the rules and regulations are all about. I believe that as long as you adhere to the rules and regulations set forth the consumer will be given all the proper information to make an informed choice about where they would like to attend school.

The Commission for Independent Education requirements affect every aspect of an admissions representative's job. How a program and/or school is presented to a potential student, what the school offers not only during the education process but realistic facts and goals for when entering the work force upon completion.
Part of my job as an Admissions Director is to protect current and prospective students as well as the interests of the institution. My institution is very concerned with being able to continue providing educational programs to help student change their lives for the better. By making sure myself and my team adhere to CIE requirements my institution can ensure to stay licensed so that we can continue our mission and vision of helping student enhance their career opportunities.
The commission's goal is to have all schools in Florida in compliance. It's a win-win situation.
