Compliance
Compliance trainings are so essential, how often should reps be updated with trainings to make sure the information is current?
Tabitha,
Florida Administrative Rules can be changed at any time during the year. Florida Statute can only be changed during legislative session in the spring.
Patty Aronoff
We should be updated as much as there are changes within compliance.
Sheila,
Sounds like your school takes compliance seriously. Great news!
Pamela,
Every step we take should ensure compliance.
Kamal,
It is very important in order to stay current.
Timothy,
Compliance is such a wonderful word!
We have a Basic Practices session with our Director of Recruitment every Monday afternoon for one hour. We cover alot of different subjects regarding Admissions in these sessions and Compliance is an area we revisit on a regular basis. It really ensures we are up to date with Compliance, and the weekly review is a great way of making sure our habits are sound in the manner we remain compliant during our presentations.
Making sure your entire staff is in comopliance is an extreamly important item also, but even more so now with the additional review that our industry is going through. Playing by the rules needs to be discussed and evaluated every few months especially if you have some significant changes. Review and being observed is an important step for each professional, and should be done every few months just to make sure we are all doing the same thing and presenting the material correctly.
When we initially start working at our school, we are required to evaluate and sign the compliance handbook. We are coached weekly regarding compliance issues. Our school director and recruitment management teams also have an open door policy especially in terms of compliance issues. This is one of the most important factors of my job--staying compliant.
At our campus, we do weekly training sessions and we are required to stay on top of all regulations around our school.
Nicolette,
I suggest an ongoing test of knowledge in meetings. Have someone ask a compliance question and see what the answers are.
