Each school should have its own policy and procedure in place to ensure compliance and fair treatment.

Your institution should have rules in place to see if they accept transfer of credits and how to go about. For example, our school is a cosmetology school. We may take some of their skin and nails hours but not for hair.

Each transfer of credit should evaluated and discussed with the student prior to starting classes.

as a good practice i make sure that the appropiate personnel is advising students of the transfer of credit. we dont want to guarantee anything to the student. we want to educate them on the outcome and i make sure that they also check with the receiving school about their policies

Academic credits earned for courses appearing on an official transcript from regionally or nationally accredited degree granting college or university with the a minimum grade of C- will be evaluated according to University policies and are subject to the approval of the University's Office of Admissions in Phoenix.
