what else can a school do to attract prospective students besides websites, printing advertisements,radio, etc....?

Keeping your students engaged while they're in school as well as after they graduate is the way to keep the spirit alive. They should bring their friends and family and an excellent source of referrals.

Having alumni days, open houses, and bring a friend with you to school or even to the initial interview is a fantastic way to develop and maintain a high level of PDLs!

These activities connect the school to the community. Any opportunity that the school has to bring in people from the public to view what the school has to offer is a win-win.

Open houses are a great way. If you have any programs that could lend to that. Culinary could make refreshments etc... Also, Bring a Friend to School Day. I attended a school that did that and it worked very well for them.

Alumni are a wonderful resource and they can bring in PDLs (which we love).

We put a great emphasis on attending MBA fairs and setting up networking events to include alumni and prospective students.

I think that schools that are foward thinkers need to get involved in the conversation and begin to utilize social media as a inexpensive marketing tool to increase lead flow. Becoming a product expert in your field is key to building your online presence. As search engiones like Google transistion to make search not about the keyword but about the orginal content your company posts this is a great time for schools to do what they have always done educate people and provide a place for people to talk about what they learned. (ie. blogs, forums, etc)

An agent operates outside the school domain. The enrollment process as outlined by law remains the same whether inside or outside.

We love personnally developed leads from within the school, graduates, and externship sites. They are free! We put on contests and offer open houses such as "bring a friend to school" day.

Besides advertisement, the school agent can have a competitve enrollment price on the market, have posters on different street about the school.
