Job Placement!
Staying connected with the Grad. students? How do you stay in touch.
Andrew,
Schools must report their placement figures but realistically we want our graduates to get their job within their creek field.

I feel that Job placement can be one of the best tools an admissions rep can use to aid a student in placing a value in there education. Because all students come to school to improve there life situations.
James,
Such a great strategy! Students want to have that connection and keeping it throughout the program is a wonderful opportunity to stay connected and even possibly get referrals.

I've also found it helpful to keep contact with the students for the duration of their programs. We already have contact with them at the beginning, so why let that lapse? Besides, students like to know that someone is listening to them from the beginning and remembers what motivated them to start school in the first place. It's a nice thing to remind them of when the pressure of tests starts to build up, or they can't make it in for "x" reasons, or their job "this or that." Being able to say "Remember when you first came to speak with me?" is a powerful thing.
We created events that would continuously bring the student or graduate back into our facility for us to follow up with them..
Christie,
Send follow up emails and try giving a phone call. Your school may have a pride day inviting grads back to school fun activities.
