Meetings with the coworkers
Most institutions have scheduled meetings for all faculty and staff. If the institution is accredited a certain number of meetings may be required. It is important that you know when these meetings will be held so that you can schedule to participate. Ideally an agenda of topics to be discussed will be issued in advance of each meeting.
Ivan,
That is how we build a team. Interactive learning and comraderie come out of these meetings in the effort to build a solid team.

Meeting with the coworkers is a must to interact as team players. Analyze and understand the points to be discussed in each meeting. It is a perfect time to bring to the table concerns or new ideas for the good of the institute. It is very important to know ahead of time the agenda for the coming meeting so we can schedule to participate and elaborate a plan of questions, concerns and ideas to help each other to achieve the same goals.
Rachel,
Exactly, if a staff member has missed a meeting, they should be brought up to speed as soon as possible.
Patty Aronoff
That is very true, it is an excellent way to pool in all the combined knowledge for every one benefit. Also if a staff member misses a meeting they can always request the meeting notes in order not to be left out of the loop.
Kevin,
It is great to improve communications by asking prepared questions. Keep a list of questions that students rank and share them at the meeting.

Lisandra,
Regular meetings are a must. They keep everyone connected and on the same goals.
Patty Aronoff
it is always important to know when you will be having a meeting with coworkers, this way you can bounce ideas and topics off one another and no person is left out and is not up to speed with the rest of the program.
