Does the transferability of credits from a Student attending my university to another institution will it always depend or be up to the receiving entity?
Maria ,
Exactly! A thorough review of transferability of credits is in order. The receiving institution is saying that the credit from the other school equals the credit at your school.

At Florida Technical Institute we follow the same process as Maria Alonzo stated for ATA.
At ATA we welcome transcripts from other institution in official form to be sent to our registrar’s office for evaluation. The registrar department will evaluate and determine what credits will transfer in. It is up to the discretion of the of the receiving institution to evaluate credits transferring out of ATA.
Eduardo ,
Always! Since the receiving institution is determining whether or not it applies to their specific program, it must be up to the receiving institution to make that determination. Tuition is also reduced for those credits that that student is given. It is in the best interest of the institution to give a solid review.
