Keeping up to date
How to you stay up to date with everything constantly changing?
crystal,
Online institutions have the challenge of continual communication with the students. As you don't have the availability of face-to-face communication you have to develop a solid relationship the keeps the connection strong.

I am currently building skills for a position with an online institution and anticipate the need for very strong communication with institution staff. As we will not have the luxury of having face to face time I will have to be an effective communicator through multiple means. Any advice?
Julia,
Continue learning new things. Various resources. You're getting well-rounded further knowledge.

John,
Excellent! You are building a solid resource noting the changes in the dates.

Daniel ,
Always start with the rules and regulations. They are the foundation for all things going forward.
Patty Aronoff
Derrick,
The resources that we turn to must be current. If not then we wrist providing wrong information. Take a little time each day and make sure it's correct.
Patty Aronoff
Tyler,
You make a concerted effort to check regularly. Changes occurred but they're not so that you cannot keep up with it.
Patty Aronoff
I find having your meetings and updating you book from that and training classes like this help a lot.
In order to keep up to date I keep a folder on my computer with all past and current changes that occur within my institution ans state regulatory agencies.
I think a good place to start is by using the resources given to us during this course.
