Being Honest pays off
Honesty pays off in the long run. Students will eventually appreciate this and will get others to enroll. It is called word of mouth.
Ruth,
Honesty should be in every school and conducted by every employee. This is the way business must be conducted.
Patty Aronoff
We have a very specialized program which requires complete honesty. Otherwise we would end up with students who wouldn't be able to complete the program and/or would be unable to make a living with this career. Since it is 3 1/3 years of intense academic study our students have to know exactly what is ahead of them.
Elizabeth,
Transparency! Being upfront and honest is the only way to do business.
Patty Aronoff
We have to manage student's expectations from the very first conversation. That way there are no surprises, no disappointments and nothing to back peddle on later on.
Ronald,
Happy students will share their excitement with others.
Patty Aronoff
It always pays off and a happy student will always refer others to the school especially if when your honest about everything
Christy,
This would be misleading the prospective student and against the rules of Fair Consumer Practices.
Patty Aronoff
Honesty is the best policy! If an Admissions leader exaggerates about the university or program it can lead to distrust, disappointment, and failure of course completion. We are able to be a trusted advisor to prospectives.
Kristie,
If we are not honest and transparent, then the prospective student loses trust in the school.
Patty Aronoff
I would definitely agree with being honest when it comes to delivering as much accurate information about what the student is getting into as possible. Our students seem to a appreciate it more. It does pose a thin line between a sales pitch and an actual discussion towards someone's future decision on how to develop their livelihood going forward.
Harry,
We do not like to think of admissions as salesmen. But the reality is that this is a business.
Patty Aronoff
I agree because at times potential students who have not met us will label us as a "car salesman" until they get to know you and trust you, then they will feel better about their decision and refer people to the school
alain,
Honesty...integrity...knowledge. These are the key components in achieving their dreams.
Patty Aronoff
Michael,
I agree wholeheartedly! Unfortunately, the reputation of a school can make it or break it in the public eye.
Patty Aronoff
Honestly will definitely pays off and being very transparent with students this will succeed in a long term relationship with students to guide them in the right direction and make them accomplish their career achievements.
Hi Nicole and Patty-Being honest and transparent with potential students is a must. The reason why I say this is our prospective universities have reputations to keep. We as individual representatives also have reputations to keep as well. The act of overpromising and underdelivering can really hurt our colleges and ourselves over the long run.
Nicole ,
Dishonesty will always show its ugly face at some point.
