Transfer Credit

What is the maximum amount of transfer credit your institution will accept (if any). The institution I work for will accept up to 50%.

Marcos,

Very clear! Many prospective students assume the credits will transfer and are disappointed in the results.

Gitta,
It is up to the receiving institution and the school policy must be stipulated in the catalog.

Patty Aronoff

Gina,
It will vary from each institution. Whatever your schools lice, it must be stated in the catalog.

Patty Aronoff

The credit acceptance is an important subject. In the training it specifies that it is up to the receiving institution to take the credits or not. This is something that needs to be very clear when addressing it to a student.

It is up to each institution weather or not they accept the credits and how many of the credits

At our institution it is 49% . I believe it is different for each school.

urania,

That is a common practice at most schools. Either the director of education or the registrar reviews all transfer credits.

Patty Aronoff

Our Director of Education handles all the transfer hour students. We accept up to 50%. However it must be approved by the DOE and the students must be evaluated first as well as the students transcripts be checked to make sure it lines up with our curriculum.

Judy,
It is a requirement of rule. It is up to the receiving institution to determine the transferability of credit.

Patty Aronoff

Every school should have this information in there catalogs.

Nicholas,
Go back to your catalog which will state how much an institution will allow. Most institutions require at least 25% of the program taken at that institution. I have seen others that require 30%.
