All the students interesting in a program needs to meet with Student Services ?

Stephan ,

Do open houses work for you? Many times I hear the great efforts going to open houses but the conversion to leads and on to application are at a minimum.

Patty Aronoff

Having a open house weekly or monthly to can be very helpful to new students also.

Kimberly ,
It is really about customer service! The size of your staff or school doesn't matter, but the size of your customer service does.

Anita ,
Allowing the student ample time to decide shows your school believes in themselves and the student.

Our student services is limited because of our size. Admissions covers all the programs, along with a tour, and general requirements of attendance. FA department handles all financial aid questions or problems.

We only ofer a limited number of programs here. All the programs are discussed with potential students on their first visit. It allows them some time to decide on a career choice, and it avoids confusion in the future.

Kelly,
The school tour is an important aspect of the admissions process. They need to become familiar with the new surroundings and envision themselves as part of the school.

We have also made all of our interviews for acceptance on-campus so that students become familiar with the layout of campus, comfortable with where everything is located and it also helps them get the experience of being on-site for a few hours to help them make the best decision for their future.

Amanda,

I believe that as well. This is where the tour of the campus should be involved and actually meeting people. We are all taking this journey together.

Patty Aronoff

you really want to make sure the prospective or new student meets with as many people as possible. The campus director, Tuition assistance, program managers, student services, even other students. This gives them an opportunity to ask questions that only certain people can answer. It also gives them a sense of belonging. Even if in the end you both come to an understanding that your school is not the best fit for them, it may be for someone they know.

Nicole ,

aIt is the reality they are seeking at the end of their studies. We should be working on the goal from the beginning.

Isva ,
It can mean the difference between success and failure. We all have the same goal in mind.

Career services can also open up possibilities and enables the student to dream big and make it a reality. Career services help students after graduation which is a critical point in a student's life.

Yes! Its essential that all new students meet with student services, it make a huge difference.

I agree, this is great for the prospect to get a chance to invison what they can be doing on their own rather that us as admissions talking away. Painting a picture on our end is important but for them to set themselves in the picture is key!

joanna,

Touching the senses from all directions. Trying on the uniforms should bring the vision of the future.

I agree.. When a new student comes in I usually have them to do a tour and allowed them to have a very small conversions with the instructor's and few others staff as well, and have them to enter inside the labs & feel our Equipments’ and sometimes have them to try on the uniforms.

Jennifer,
Career Services should be working with that student from day one. After all, placing a student is a mark of achievement for everyone.
