Prospective Student

All prospective student, we like to make the feel Comfortable from the moment they walkin. Makeing sure we go over all the programs and policy as well as the accreditation and Process of entering the school. Given them a tour of the school and introducing them to the staff as well as the professors , and asking any other question they might have with the program.

Maria,

Lack of information can create apprehension. I need to be fully informed so that they can make the right decision for them.

I am Agree.. A prospect needs to feel safe in this important decision. A poor orientation or ineffective communication by the officer can make the prospect does not want to enroll.

Catherine,

It is a relationship of information and trust. We start building that relationship from day one.

Patty Aronoff

Fully agree with making them feel comfortable as well as confident they are being provided with accurate information, answering all their questions. I let prospective students know when I am available during the day, the evenings, or at weekends so they know when they can call. It builds a good foundation.

Stephany,
It shows we truly care. They don't want to be considered just another gathered number.

It is important to make prospective students feel welcome. I usually like to let financial aid, advisors and even a VA representatives know when an prospective student is coming. It is important to have key people available to answer questions for the student. One thing prospective students like is a tour of the facility. It gives them a visual of where they would be if they came to our university.

Renate,
Most consumers today come well prepared. Another reason to be well versed in product knowledge and regulations.

Patty Aronoff

Some prospective students have done their homework in terms of visiting our website and having "educated" themselves. They are the ones that are the most interested and may just have specific questions. I love working with them and explaining all the details of our program.

I agree with you, because the first impression the student gets is very important. Making them feel comfortable and answer every question accurate and transparent is very important

Karina,
Truth always prevails. We should always be honest and forthright.

Aja,

No, no second chances. We must strive to be the best every time.

The true conquers frontiers. When we are honest with the prospect that we have in front of us they can feel it and they are more likely to open up. This gives us the opportunity to inform them better, base in their necessities and also helps them to make the right decisions.

Yes you never get a second chance to make a first impression. You have to make sure that when meeting a prospect your smiling and polite. You must use correct grammar, be friendly out going and open to helping others achieve there goal!

I agree, We do the same thing. We want them to feel 100% comfortable with their decision to come to our school.

Milagros,
I agree! It is finding the right comfort level and establishing a relationship with the school.

Patty Aronoff

Karen,
A very good philosophy to have. If we put ourselves in their shoes, it all takes a very different perspective.

We are typically the first line of defense with prospective students, from questions to touring. Smiling, courtesy, respect and knowledge go a long, long way. I have found that this goes over well with all prospective students.

I agree that first impressions are lasting impressions and make or break the relationship. In most cases I am the first person they talk to or meet. I try to make them as comfortable as possible and give them all the information I can because this could be the only chance I get to speak to them if they are checking out other schools. It's a big decision and financial commitment and they should be completely informed. Plus, it is what I would expect if I were a prospective student. I treat them the way I expect to be treated.

April,

Yes, it does. Trust is a valuable commodity and should not be taken lightly.
