It is rewarding for both School staff and student to be able to be place in the correct field of study; therefore school staff should assist and direct student by issuing employment guides and placing a follow up courtesy call.

Student should always will be looking for the end when they start. Their goal is to achieve a job after graduation. Looking for that job from day one certainly prepares the students for that day when it comes.

Even more, part of the curriculum should include training on how to look for jobs, as well as how to market yourself so that you're attractive to potential employers.
Often, programs are designed to teach "book knowledge", but then leave it to the students to figure out how to find an employer who really values what they have to offer.
I find that a more holistic approach increases the chances of students' success.

It is important clearly define the job placement assistance program.
We have a student services coordinator that does a great job in finding strategic partners for job placement partners for our students once they become certified through our programs.
We have an employment assistance coordinator who works with several local businesses as well as the state Worksource department to help find jobs for recent grads. We also help with resume writing.
