We teach professionalism as a part of Nursing. We must set the example of professionalism as a faculty of RNs. Just like in a hospital, policies and procedures promote consistancy for patient care, these rules and regulations provide consistancy and define what is appropriat, and correct in dealing with furture students. The notebook is an essential part of this. We use it for reference and to validate our compliance with the law
If we as an institution do not have integrity and tell the student the correct information or mislead a student, how can we expect our graduates to be ethical
Yes, I agree professionalism is of vital importance to all acting agents.
Providing accurate information regarding school programs and policies will not just benefit the student and aid them in making a decision. It will also be beneficial to the student and admissions representative relationship. As an admissions representative, you need for students to trust the information that you are giving them. If you, as a rep, are not knowledgeable the student will not trust the information that you are providing, which will hinder the admissions process for them. Admissions rep. knowledge is crucial to help ensure that students are confident in the admission decisions that they are making.
I agree. As an Admission Rep. it is important to give the student the correct information. If the rep does not know an answer to a students question. He/she she contact the director and or another admission rep to get the correct answer for the student. Please remember that our students look to us for proper guidance and direction...
It will benefit the student first and foremost to give accurate information about the school and the admissions process. It will make them feel more comfortable about making one of the biggest decisions of their life. That potential student is trusting you to relay accurate information. As their Admissions Representative, it should be in your best interest to be knowledgable about the school and its policies.
I agree totally, professionalism should be the foundation for all schools. The end result is respect, for the students, instructors and the institution itself.
We should all act in a professional manner.
Everyone should be on the same page from the get go.
