Initiating Contact

I understand the statement that "Agents are not permitted to initiate contact with students who are enrolled at other schools to attempt to have them enroll in the school where I work". My question is, what if I am out/off the clock and I am talking to an individual who may not be happy with their current school, would I be able to talk with them about it at that time?

Thanks!
Donielle

Yvonne,

Once you find out they are enrolled at another school, you would just politely end the conversation.

Once a student discloses that they are currently enrolled/attending another school, how should we advise them? Should we stay on the phone with them or not?

Rita,

You should refer them to our office, the State Board of Career Colleges and Schools, to file a complaint.

If a prospective student expressed their dissatisfaction with an institution they are currently attending, what should or can we advise them to do?

Thank you,
Yvonne

Donielle,

No, you should not have that discussion with students enrolled in a another school even if it is outside of your regular working hours.
