Make the right choice

When taking to students you as an agent must make sure that you are not saying or doing anything unlawful. This matter can effect the college or school and your permit.

I think it is important as well to not guess about an answer if a student asks you something you are not sure of.

Thank you Katherine. I have also found that if you do right by those students, even if it is not a good fit for them, many times they have referred someone to me that is a good fit. Karma!

I definitely agree with your statement. Not every potential student coming into the school is going to benefit from your particular school. This is why it is important to get to know the person and truly understand what is in their best interest. If that is your school, great! If not, the individual should be guided in the right direction for them and their future.

Not only should you be prepared in advance to meet with perspective students (with necessary materials & disclosures), but also to treat them as you would want a family member or friend treated by another agent. What I mean by that is that every person you come in contact with should be given not only correct and lawful information, but treated in a way that will be in their best interest. Sometimes that means that your school may not be the best fit for that particular student.

I think you should be organized before the student comes in for the interview so you know exactly what to say and what not to say.
