Admissions Newbie
Hello all. I'm a career changer and new to admissions, but very excited to be involved in helping others shape their futures. Even though I come from years of retail store management, one of my focuses, when guiding my employees, was to make their goals and aspirations my own.
If they wanted to pursue an education, my support and encouragement was integral in maintaining a positive relationship and continuing their dedication to our company's mission. Yes, ultimately, they would leave and move on to another opportunity, but I knew that my attention to them would foster their future relationship with us as a consumer.
Very much in the same fashion, heeding the call to be compliant with Ohio's provisions and following "the rules" at my college, ensures that each of my student's experiences remain consistent, equitable, and ultimately successful. In most ways, I am on the other end of an already paved path of support I've always given to people interested in pursuing an education. Glad to be here.
I am an Admissions Newbie as well!
I have been involved in all aspects of customer sevice, sales and sales management for over 30 years but am new to Admissions.
I must say I truly, truly am enjoying this phase of my career. It is very rewarding to help PGE's with the next phase of their life and education. This is such a big step, and I agree with you that we must follow the rules and regs of our Campus, State, and Federal Governments.
We must remember that above all else, ethics and integrity must previal at all costs.
