It is important for Reps to review their materials often and receive ongoing training pertaining to their roles as an Admissions Representative. This helps in always ensuring providing the best customer service, sending the same message to all potential students with consistency, and ensuring Admissions Representatives have the most updated information.
I understand the importance of ongoing training and the value of being up to date on new policies and procedures. It is viable in this industry to be able to relay all necessary information to new students.
I throughly enjoy going through ongoing training. I believe that as admissions representatives we get comfortable in how and what we do without thinking about the ways to improve. Taking a step back and out of the everyday cycle to do training on a specific area helps to get more focus on certain areas that could be improved. Communication is the key to success. Having the right kind of communication especially for training is extremely helpful.
It is our job to be professional. We must look out for the well-being of our students and the institution we represent. We should not become complacent in our posision. The best leaders are great students.
I agree it is vital in our industry that there are standards in place, vital that we adhere to those standards and the ongoing training keeps everyone aware when there are changes as it applies to the rules and regulations in our industry.
This is very true, having the information, in a easy to access organized set up help you as an agent maintain the prospects confidence in you and the school instead of having to wait ok hang on I know it is in here some where or deliver no real answer at all.
It can also help if your student have quuestions concerning certain policies that may differ from a former school. I think it's also great to have a FAQ handy and a harder to answer list of questions.
