New to Admissions

I am new to admissions and am beyond estatic to work in the department. I have experienced a lot going through my education experience and getting my degree. I can not wait to relate my experience to future students objections. This role does not seem difficult but you need to know an abundance of information and watch for small details. My goal is to stay in touch with my future students; I know if I made my certain objections work with schooling that my students can as well. Sometimes they just need that fire lit and for someone to push them!

I am new to admissions. However, I have experience working in higher education. I am looking forward to helping students pursue their dreams and accomplishing their life long goals. I am ready to change lives.

Welcome to the new career path. I, myself, am new to the college admissions as well and am looking so forward to getting to help other acheive something great in their life. Even though an education is not a tangible item, it is still a hige piece of growing up or changing jobs and I can't wait to help others pursue their dreams.

I am also new to admissions! Just started training this week. I did not realize the amount of details that go into this job, but I really think I am going to enjoy it! Our school has not officially opened yet, so I am excited to start getting students enrolled and into our brand new building. Cannot wait to start making a difference in our stundents lives and getting them enrolled into college!

I agree this is an exciting field but details are everything!!

I'm excited to help others by letting them know I believe in them and helping them to believe in themselves!

Hi, I am new to the admisssions world as well.I have been on the other side of CCI in the call center, so learning all of this information is extremely exciting. I have such a passion for helping students and being in this incredible position is opening my eyes to a whole new exciting world where I get to really be involved with my students.I do agree, that there is alot of small details to remember however by knowing and keeping the students best interest always in mind, building rapport, knowing our regulations, showing them our awesome school, but more importantly maybe being that one and only person that has ever told them that education is possible. I am so excited and any helpful ideas or knowledge that you can share would be wonderful. It excites me even more to see all of the replies to this thread. I love that we all share the same passion and that is to change student's lives. Thanks and have a great day! LeeAnn

I have about one year of experience in admissions from another institution. However, Miami-Jacobs has a slightly different demographic. I am excited to be able to continue in my passion of helping students and happy to have the opportunity to motivate!

I am also new to admissions and very excited to change lives!

I am also new to Admissions and it has been a wonderful experience learning and going through the different aspects of the position. Great training and being hands on and learning step by step the policies and procedures to be able to ensure a professional experience for our students. Also, the Admissions team is very supportive and very welcoming. Looking forward to observing and gaining much more information.

I too am new to admissions but will srtongly rely on my life skills of being self employed business owner for 34 years and an Athletic Director for the last 4 years to guide me as I gain knowledge of the Admissions process.

I am also fresh out of college and new to admsissions. It is a lot more in depth than I originally thought, and I love it! At our school we contact the students if they miss a class and make back-up plans for them regarding their transportation, child care plans, and other such situations. Do your schools reach out to their students in ways similar to these?

I can not wait to get stated helping people!

I am new to admissions,I am very excited to start changing lives. This is alot to take in, and alot of regulations to remember. Yet, I still can't wait to get started!

This is my testimony as well. I am very excited to contribute to the career planning and the lives of my future students. This can be a very rewarding position.
