Admission and Financial Aid
It is very important as a representative to know the details of the financial aid process when you are dealing with prospective students. However you have to be sure that you only discuss those things that are in compliance with the rules and regulations of the state requirements. Students must know that there is financial aid services available for those who qualify, but representatives are unable to project the amount the student could receive.
I agree a admissions rep should have basic knowledge of what happens during the FA appointment. A rep doesn't want to seem clueless of the process and what is demanded for the student.
I agree, I am still learning, but this is the main thing that I want to be totally 100 percent acurate with. Just so that I do not mislead the student, but still making them feel like we CAN help them through the FA department.

I agree. It is important to explain what FAFSA and financial aid is in general, but if a student has any specific questions regarding financial aid I always refer them to the Business Office.
