School Catalog

I think the School Catalog will be a very helpful to new students. What do you think?

We only have a pamphlet and it is not at all helpful.
I understand that idealy the students call or come to the campus with their questions. However not all students are like that. Some like to do their leg work and research first. Get their questions together and then meet with someone.
Not have to call repeatedly everytime you think of a question.
I wish we had a much better catalog.

Staying equipped with your school's catalog will ensure you, the rep, knows what you're talking about as well. I don't hesitate to pick up the catalog whenever I'm speaking with anyone about my school because it holds me accountable the information that I (verbally) am distributing. Also, I have the answers to many of their questions or possible questions, right there in my hand.

I am new to educational institutions and so other than my own college experience I don't have a lot of practice with reading school catalogs. I will be pulling a copy of my school's updated catalog asap!

Keeping up with the changes/updates in the school college are essential.

I encourage all students to look it over and write down any questions they might have for me. I feel that our catalog is divided into sections easy for the students to understand.

School catalogs are very helpful to students, easy to get information. The table of contents list pretty much everything from the different programs, credits needed, tuition, etc.

To expand this thought - the School Catalog is something every student gets and must sign that they have read and understand what is in the document. We include the admission criteria and all the information like tuition, tuition refunds, course sequencing and requirements to successfully complete the program. It also discusses the next step after graduation, taking and passing the NCLEX-RN examination. We also state what we as the school will do to assist the student in this process and stress that the student has a responsibility for their own learning

If the school catalog is regularly updated, yes. Late changes in policies can cause confusion or a student being disqualified if rules changed after the catalog was printed.
However, that's always a good place to start
