School Catalog

Something that I have found very helpful is also to e-mail our school catalog to the students, that way they cannot "lose" it. I also have it posted on a board in the main office area, that was it is available to them that way as well.

Hope this helps!

I also agree with this. I feel emailing the student the catalog would be helpful and having them upload the catalog electronically and prinitng it would be helpful.

I agree. When we are talking to a prospective students we have the option to email or mail the course guide out. I prefer to email, but some people like to have a physical copy.

Beverly,

If a student indicates that they do not have the ability to obtain a electronic copy of the catalog you should give them a paper copy even if it means just printing a copy on one of the school's printers.

I miss the paper catalogs. We give them the link to the website but some of our students don't have internet at home even in this day and age. Some come to school to obtain computer skills. I think they should have both.

I agree Justin and it is also important to let the student know the importance of the catalog and that is is a document that they should keep through their college career with your institution. They will always be able to go back and refer to any regugulation that they may have an issue with.

There is a definite need for the students to have the school catalog so they can be informed of the school in detail.
