Getting aquainted

As a new Rep, other than reviewing all the new information, what is the best way of getting aquainted with all the new information.

I think building a relationship with your potential student is huge. We use a CIS or career information sheet, I take this information and then build on it by asking open ended questions, I also search for any obsticles I may encounter later in the admissions process. I am very lucky to have fellow admissions reps and my director of Admissions to shadow-they have shown me lots of ways to create a great student relationship, while informing them of all the neccesary information.

Here we are given a sheet to follow where we find each administrator in each department and ask them a few questions. What they do for the student and how what I do helps them. I'm looking forward to not only getting to know each of them better personally - but understanding what I can do in my job to help them with their job - which ultimately helps process the student.
