We have schools taht are red flags because they are not valid and have not been approved by the ODE. I did not know this before.

Chris,

As long as the home schooling was done in compliance with state requirements, a student who completed their home school high school requirements may be considered a high school graduate. Your financial aid office would likely need to review the student's home school documentation to assure that they have properly fulfilled the state requirements.

A POG proof of graduation is required either a valid diploma or GED.

If student has FA dept from prior attendance to a current program they did not graduate from they are grandfathered in with the ATB.

What about those that are home schooled? Must they complete their GED to show competency? Is there other means to make sure that meet compliance standards?

Ralph,

A high school diploma or GED is required for admission into an associate degree program. For certificate and diploma programs, it would be up to the school's admission policy.

My understanding is that you have to show proof of graduation which includes a high school diploma or GED certificate.
