Module 3

I think it is very interesting how each program markets their prodcut. You must use all your resources. TV, radio, direct mail, outbound calls are all great ways to get your school's name out there.

The school I will represent this year has an interesting approach to the recruiting process. I am excited to see it in practice. We do very little in the use of media.

Marketing is an integral part of any business and there are many choices for a post secondary schools today.

Daniel,

This is an interesting observation. I will be interested to see if others have thoughts on this idea.

Kimberly Stein

I agree with what everyone is saying, but I have found that over exposure is hurting schools as well making them easy targets for others to criticise when meeting with potential students. Has anyone else encountered this as well?

I agree that using all forms of marketing media is essential to ad validity to the school through exposure. Integrity in advertising and as an agent are key. Credibility is king. I can only imagine what advertising was like without the Ohio Board requirements, or for any school for that matter that existed with regulation.
Since the advent of the internet, this form of advertising is not only in many cases, the most bang for the advertising buck, but has the potential to reach even more prospective students than television.

yes, it is important to use all resources available, especially the local newspapers. This, along with our website have been the most effective.
