Product Knowledge
Each University, College and Institute has differnt programs that we offer to the communities that we live in, you have to know the talking points to be successful!
I agree. Product knowledge is a major key to success in admissions. We need to be familiar with not just the classes one will take, but the background of those teaching the class. Sitting in on a class provides real life examples of what to expect, the degree of student participation and how this knowledge may help them achieve certain career goals. Examples of upcoming student projects in a certain class(ie:websites, community activity)could paint an even clearer picture of what to expect. The more realistic a student's expectations are, the more likely they will be willing and able to meet those expectations.
I agree! If you cannot discuss your schools program offerings with confidence then why would a student want to come to your school. Prospective students are looking to Admissions Reps for knowledge about their chosen career choice.
As an Admissions Rep., it is our job to have all the honest, and accurate information for our prospective students, so they can make a good decision about their future!!
This is what the prospective student is coming to meet with Admissions to find out. We owe it to the prospective student to provide accurate and current information about what would be expected of them to not only start, but to also graduate.
