Understanding Your Institution
The best way to learn about the programs at your school is to review the catalogs, talk with individual who work in the education department, sit in on a class, and talk with the placement department to learn where grads find a job at.
I am a BDR and I found that connecting with academics- attending classes and meetings, staff, and students have been very useful in understanding our campus culture.
Hello Misty,
I completely agree with you. Often the students perspective is ignored. Clear communication and feedback from students can help an institution and its' employees improve.
Just as a note, I believe an additional resource is not identified here, the students in attendance...they have a perspective that can benefit an admissions agent by conveying where key stressors are and coping ideas that worked, just to cite one.
