Learning About Different Resources Within Your Organization
Having the knowledge about the different services that each department offers is essential. Having the knowledge about such services provides additional guidance for our students. Moreover, if you are looking to seek additional information, an organization chart is a great resource. From the chart you can easily find out who to talk to and gather information from regarding that specific department.
This is so true. You can look silly to a potential student if you cannot anwer their questions. You can never have too much information to help the person. Talking to instructors or sitting in a class is a good way to see the academic process. Many times students need reassurance that help is there when they need it.
I think its very important for the agent/representative to be familiar with all the services available to the student, so that they may discuss or have the information available if a prospective student asks. The more knowledge you have about services that benefit the prospective student, the better for the student.
It is important to understand each department of the school. Looking at an organizational chart is a good way to start. You then can reach out to various people in your organization to get a fell about what each department is about.
