Working together
It is crucial to work together with other departments to make sure that you understand what their role is. This will make a smoother, more seamless experience for your students.
It is a team effort to get a prospective student involved. and it is important that the cross-functionality of different departments is clear and concise and on the same page. Getting to know your cross-functional teams and learning how they like things done is imperative to a successful relationship between departments not only for the students but also your success as a rep
Totally agree! We are getting ready to open our school in the next couple of weeks, so we are just fininshing up training. It is so important to work as a team with each department. Everyone has their own role in the school, but together makes your job that much easier and a better envirment for the students when all departments are on the same page.
Absolutely! You should encourage the participation of everyone involved in all steps, from the enrollment to graduation process! You also need to be able to share knowledge and understanding among the team.
Team work is not only crucial but 100% necessary if you are to give the student a good enrollment experience. You are the first person they see and they expect you to be the one who can direct them to all the answers and you want to be able to do that.
Every department may have their own function, but the overall goal is for all departments to work together for what is in the best interests of their students.
Working within other departments and with department heads should be a must if anyone working in admissions really wants to get the best out of their job! While I am new to my position--I would find it really hard to promote programs to potential students if I had no clue about the classes/programs that were being offered. Also, If i didn't understand what was being offered-how could I really help a student plan for their future/career? Definately a crucial part of the job!
Working together is very important. Not only across departments but within your own department.
