Unstanding the Institution
For me the best way to understand our institution is to basicly job shadow different aspects of MJCC. Ask questions, gain knowledge of every part of the educationl process so that we may better communitate with our potential students.
I agree with this but at the same time, I am more of a hands on gal and I really didn't grasp the information needed for this job until I was about 2 weeks into it. The more that you do here, the more that you understand every aspect of your position.
The more knowledge that you have about the institution the better you can serve the needs of the potential student.
I'm very good at networking and really work at being a better student than those I enroll. That starts with reading to understand the school's literature and marketing material. Additionally, the leadership and faculty at my school are very accessible and open to any questions. While the College has a responsibility to ensure I'm trained, I take ownership for my training!
