I am a new rep and to hear that a Dean of Students is reaching out to better understand the admissions process is refreshing. I think it is a valuable tool to understand what other departments are doing even if their tasks are different from yours. Knowledge is a powerful tool.

I am a new Admissions Representative, still in training. The step you have taken in your role as Dean of Students will prove invaluable to your team. Throughout my training I have met many Department Chairs and team members who all seem to have a differing idea of what it is acceptable for an Admissions Agent to share with a prospective student. By having other members of your leadership team take this training, you could arrive at a common language to use to accurately and positively represent your programs and course offerings.

My position currently is Dean of Students but I felt it would be good to take this course to find out exactly what rules and regulations our admissions people deal with. It was so beneficial and what an eye opener! I might do this for all the departments at our school.
