Yeah...it seems to be getting easier...or maybe I'm just learning more.
The wonderful thing about morals is that they are uniquely ours and we are gloriosuly free to choose what is best for us. A person's morals don't need to be, and shouldn't have to be, identical to anyone elses. When I do meet people that share my morals, it is always a pleasant surprise, but never expected.
I do admit, though, that it is typically a requirement that two people's morals be similar at least at their most basic levels, or it is difficult to for them to relate. Logic tends to be slightly more universal in terms of how it is used, but it's still is a wonderful daily tool that we interpret for ourselves and assists in our day to day navigation in life. I treasure both my freedom in choosing my morals and my ability to interpret logic for myself.
Enforcing compliance across the world in general is a dangerous concept, and many painful and horrible wars have been fought over it. The wonderful thing is that our workplaces have expected levels of ethics that act as guidelines so that, regardless of differences in moral standing or usage of logic, we have a bar to measure acceptable behavior by.
I agree, I wish that there was more compliance in the world in general- the problem with logic and moral codes is that everybody seems to have their own version of it.
Ah, if only the world could be compliant. This would be more understood and in order. Compliance keeps the trickery down and honesty up.
It does seem to get easier. Especially once you understand compliance.
