CONTINOUS TRAINING

I believe continous training is necessary for Student Reps because it give us the on going knowledge we need to become more helpful with our students. What do you think?

I think that continued training for reps is definately something that is needed. We do webinars that help with different things such as qualifying potential students and asking the right questions. Very helpful.

As a DOR, it is my responsibility and moral obligation to be continuously learning so I can be certain those who work with me are up to date and compliant and gaining personal knowledge in our industry as well

It is so true that change is just a part of life. We as agents must keep up to date on the trainings in order to best help our students.

With how quickly things change I believe continuing education for Reps is a no brainer. Continuing education is the only way for Reps to stay current and effectively help potential students.

Getting together with others that are in your same field to kick around ideas/compare notes/talk about what's new is important.

In the educational enviroment rules and regulations change constantly. Meeting and training are a vital part of a educational organization's growth while being compliant.

I agree. Training keeps Representatives confident and aware ofpertinent information in regards to how they an better do their job.

I agree. It is very important as technology changes. It is important to have the knowledge to clearly explain different programs and clearly communicate them accurately and in detail to the prospective student. Also other parts of job training such as regulations, etc that change.

A person in any industry needs to learn to adapt in change. Things like regulations and policies change in growth of any given field a person is in. I agree that continuous training is a vital part of our job and any job to become successful as well.

I feel very blessed to be in an industry that overall does continue to train and invest in our job knowledge as admission professionals. The management themselves are being trained continuously as well, this also gives me confidence in him as a DOA.

Agreed. No two students are the same and the challenges they face are unique to them. As you continue to learn your programs and the features and benefits of your school, your focus must also be on developing your interpersonal skills to better relate with a wide range of students. Continually sharpening your saw, so to speak.

I definitely agree. I'm a big believer in continuous training/education.

I strongly agree. Change is a part of life, it is important to know how that change effects you or a perspective student, in some cases both.

I think continuing education is great no matter what industry your in.
