Employers information
Employers are the best source of information about the jobs that the school is training for because technology is constinally changing & the person that would be most aware of this would be the people working within that field. It is also important to talk to more than one employer because with new technology, you may find that one employer will have experience with it & the other may not.
I agree, Keeping informed about different venues is always recommended
You will serve your students best by always making the employer/employment the untimate goal of the student. Gaining skills that are in demand and marketable should be the center piece of all students in today's economy.
This is part of what the Advisory Board is for, but I agree that it valuable to reach beyond that group.
Our Career Services Dept handles this & they work closely with employers to arrange externships so the student and employer acheive success.

Very true. Understanding the employment opportunities that are available for graduates can be very helpful in answering questions during the admissions process.
