Graduation Rates
As I am sure you all know, when a student completes a FAFSA, graduation rates will be supplied for the students based on the school code that is issued. Does anyone know how accurate these are in general? If a student completes FAFSA prior to coming in for an admissions appointment, they already may have a perception of the school based on this information. This can lead to no-shows if the rate is deemed low. Is there a way to remain compliant and address this on the initial phone call? Thanks!
I have found the easiest way to remain compliant is to handle the addmissions part briefly, and allow them to address the Business office or SAR direclty. when they are finished with their FA questions have them transfer the call back to you so that you may continue with your information. I have found that my show rate has increased as they are less intimidated by the whole process.
