Compliance and Staying up to Date

With rules and regulations ever changing, it is important to stay up to date on these changes. Attending meetings and reviewing the board website will help.

I devised a "student packet" checklist that I print out on BIG labels. It currently has 13 items that need to be checked off to stay in compliance at the present time. I attach (stick) these labels to the student's folder and then it reminds me to fulfill all the obligations. Naturally, they need to be updated frequently. This system works for me for now.

As a previous Real Estate agent compliance and regulations was very important and also ever changing. Attending as much training and additional continuing ed classes helps with your success and complaint.

In this ever changing world of education an agent must be on top of not only the training offered at your school but the rules that govern your school and dept. as well.

I agree however it slipped me that a disclosure had to be signed at enrollment. It is most important to refresh thoughts and memories as things do change and improve constantly, and at times we as agents can become complacent and/or forgetfull.

I agree. One must keep up with all new rules and regulations so that they can offer the most current information to their prospective students. Attending meetings, speaking with professionals in the field and faculty members, as well as checking the board website are extremely important. The more currenet information you have access to, the better you will be able to assist your prospective student.
