I agree with you, we have to be very careful in what we say and do. My boss always says the the students perception is their truth. We may say one thing and they hear another, be consistant in what you say.

Totally agree with you, but with one note: The compliance landscape is constantly changing. So what is black or white today, might be considered gray tomorrow. This is why it is imperative that school officials stay abreast the regulatory environment and clearly communicate changes to its agents. Do you feel that schools (in general) do a good job communicating these changes?
