Knowing your programs

The more you know about your programs and student services the better you can inform your potiental students about their options. What are some good ways to let your students know about these options?

staying informed and current is a win all around from the student to the agent to the director to the instructor...god forbid you mis-represent.

Campus tours, and discussions with program chairs are great ways to inform students on your programs, and resources.

a great way to inform the students about what programs are offered and to guide them with accurate information and to also let the students have a better vision of what they want.

It may be more beneficial to listen to a prospect student's wants/needs then make suggestions for programs that best suit.

I am a BDR and we have a wonderful presenation that was created for us to present in High Schools and at Community Events we are attending. It is very interactive with activities that relate to our programs we offer. I love this activity because the information on our programs are explained for the High School and Adults in a fun way.

One great way of showing students their different options is to have them meet briefly with the head of the training program they are interested in. Many times a professor can give great real life examples of times they were faced with similar decisions. Maybe a previous student of theirs had success in an area the prospective student is interested in. An agent will not have the life experience to explain exactly what it is like to work in an operating room, but a professor who has worked in the field can. Your professors and instructors can be a great tool to assist you in relaying the best information to your prospective student.

I have to say having the options available, such as explaining during a presentation.

Making a list of all the available options that the student has to make sure the agent has covered all of them would be helpful.

That's a good question.
I guess it would depend on what you have available right?
