Transfer of credit
I have been trained to say that transfer credits will be determined based on the receiving school but that I should direct them towards the registrar before saying anything else. Thoughts?
As far as Transfering credits thats up to student services and or the campus director.
We are trained to say that the transfer of credits is up to the receiving school. At our school, we do not accept credits from other schools as our students have to be in the class room a certain number of hours.
While this very training makes plain that it's up to individual school's to determine acceptance of transfer credits, I believe many confuse the topic with accreditation. Our school's Register is the correct person to decide whether a credit is accepted, but in addition to describing the process as an Admissions Rep, sometimes I'm also diffusing misunderstandings!
I am new to Admissions, and I too have been informed the same information. I would hate to give misinformation to new enrolling students.
