With all of the info potential students have at their fingertips it is much better to assist the student with a program choice than it is to steer them in a specific direction. Most students understand what they want it up to the admissions rep to maintain open communication and honesty.
I'm always careful to never talk badly of another school, though I may point out differences....i.e. size, offerings.
Its very important for the school to show integrity to set an example for students to do so
Providing the most accurate and timely information to prospective students will create an atmosphere in which students can make the most informed decisions and will lead to an increased level of satisfaction.
It is important to understand that integrity also covers what is said about a competitor school.
its all about having integrity and value in yourself and the school
Treat each student as an individual and be sure to both ask and answer questions to address the concerns of those students. Be clear on all topics before moving forward. Some students are familiar with college procedure while others are not. Don't assume the student understands what you are discussing without a brief Q&A.
If one has no integrity how caqn you communicate with potential students the value of the education they are earning.
