Quoting specifc salaries after graduation
You should never give potential students quotes of salaries for any program after graduation. Sometimes people will look at the BLS.gov site.
Since salarys vary from area to area, coast or coast, it is impossible to give any salary information. You should direct them to BLS.gov or to other online souces for that information.
That is also the procredure that we abide by to ensure they recieve a resource to pull the information from. Letting them know that it is an estimated salary for people already established in the desired field is a must, for their expectations could be shattered when entering the the career field themselves!

At my school we refer students to BLS.gov because this is a great source for them, but we remind them that it is an average rate for experienced workers in the field and not entry level jobs.
