Bans are Good Incentives

it's sad to see how often this happens but it is unnacceptable to misrepresent information to cater to quotas. i'm glad they have put a ban on incentive for recruitment bc it helps put an end to misleading potential students for the personal gain of a recruiter.

I also agree with putting bans on incentives. The rewards and satisfactions should come from enrolling students who are striving to make better lives for themselves and to become successful citizens in their community.

I agree, Bans will enforce ethical standards

I have never liked incentives for sales regardless of the product simply because, more often than not, the purpose of the sale from the salesperson's perspective is to be rewarded either monetarily or with something tangible. As an educator, I find the best reward comes from helping students earn an education so that they can become contributing members of society. Of course, money is important, but we need to learn to be satisfied with other motives besides money and gifts. What about the internal reward of helping others? What about the satisfaction of providing a service to someone in need? What about pride in conducting yourself honestly with great integrity? Those rewards will stay with you forever as opposed to a nice vacation or a hefty bonus check.

I too agree with the discontinuation of enrollment incentives. Our school has a policy of enrolling "graduates", not students. With everyone on the same page, we all strive to fill our seats with those who truly want to be there!

I'm with you, Gary! I believe that as agents we do receive "incentives" by changing the lives of the students we work with. Those of us that are in this industry because we believe in the power of education are receiving all the "incentive" we need!

I agree on the bans if you believe in what you do and the product your school offers, if you have the right fit, it all works out. Gary
