I completely agree, Greg. We have some healthcare programs, and while a "spotless" background is not required for admission to our school, we (admissions agents) find it important to explain how background checks may affect students' ability to find a job in their field.

We have certain programs that a criminal background check must be completed prior to the student enrolling. This does help to make students aware of the issues they will face if they do have a criminal background. No one wants to go through a program just to find out that they can't use their degree because of their past.
This is something that definitely should be told to our prospective students, this will help them understand the reality of what they may face with background issues or criminal offences and this should need to be represented to the future student beofre anything!
Job placement is very inportant for many reasons and should be a big part of your school
This statement makes absolute sense and our institution has begun working with a law firm that speaks to our students about expungement of certain felonies. Additionally, we work with employers that are willing to hire graduates with certain types of felonies on their records.
