Competitive Integrity

I found this subject matter to be very important to a Admissions Rep. There is a very thin line to be followed and keeping the competition out of the conversation is highly important. Staying positive about another institution is the simplest way to stay compliant.

The best thing to do is to avoid speaking about other schools. period. Instead focus on the school you represent and what they can do.

I only discuss what my school has to offer. bottom line. I dont discuss other schools

It is always better to be safe, than sorry. I know when i hear prospective student state that "The other school i visited told me not to come here because you guys don't do this or that, and i didnt like that particularly",let me know that we have a more sophisticated prospect, in some cases, and it is not neccessary to slander other institutions. Prospects, i find, are more appreicative with honesty. When i encourage them to compare our information with other institution, before making their decision.

I agree Paula! It is easy to get caught up in the cost or programs other schools offer during an interview with a student, especially if the student is heistant about your school.
The main thing to do is emphazie what our school has to offer.
