Not involved in all aspects of student selection

I am currently the Admission Coordinator for our college. However I work off-site.
My involvement with prospective students is only to answer their inquiries about the college and provide them with links where they can download an application from our website.
As such I do need to have knowledge about all aspects of the college. I am not involved in the interview or selection process.
Has anyone had a similar situation?

I am the Director of Education at my campus. My admissions person is very good at keeping me in the loop if a student may have a possible learning issue. He lets me know if the student had an IEP in high school or has ADD. My job is to help set up tutoring for the student, organize their notebook, or teach them how to study. After this is done a lot of the anxiety is reduced for the student. My job is to see them successfully complete the program.
